How to read Catalogr results

Catalogr helps Amazon sellers reduce large supplier files into products worth reviewing. The results are screening signals, not buying decisions.

Core principle

Catalogr does not tell you what to buy. It filters supplier catalog rows using Amazon EU signals, estimated fees, estimated profit, ROI, sales rank, Buy Box data and competition indicators.

Every product marked as keep or review still requires manual review before buying stock.

Result funnel

GTIN processed

Number of valid supplier barcode rows processed by the job.

ASINs found

Number of Amazon ASIN matches found from supplier GTINs. One GTIN can sometimes match more than one ASIN.

Passed sales-rank filter

Products with a sales rank inside the configured screening threshold.

Buy Box available

Products where Catalogr found Buy Box pricing data.

Qualified candidates

Products that passed minimum profit, ROI, rank and Buy Box screening checks.

Below profit / ROI threshold

Products rejected because estimated profit or ROI was too low.

Decisions

Decision Meaning Action
keep Strongest candidates. The product passed the minimum profit and ROI thresholds and has a cleaner signal profile than other products. Review first, then validate manually before buying.
review The product passed the minimum thresholds but has warnings that need manual verification. Review after keep candidates.
reject The product failed a required rule such as missing Buy Box, missing rank, profit below threshold, ROI below threshold, supplier out of stock or Amazon-only offer. Ignore unless you have a specific reason to investigate.

Grades

Grade Meaning
A High score based on estimated profit, ROI, rank, Buy Box accessibility and competition.
B Good candidate, but weaker than Grade A on one or more signals.
C Passed minimum screening but needs careful manual review.
D Low score or hard rejection signal.

Grade is not a buying decision. A Grade A product can still require manual review if risk warnings are present.

Risk levels

Risk Meaning
low Few or no major warnings detected.
medium The product passed minimum filters, but some signals require review, such as FBA competition, low profit, low ROI, missing FBA offer count or high competition.
high The product has a major warning such as Amazon Buy Box, single seller risk, missing Buy Box, missing rank, Amazon-only offer or failed profit / ROI rules.

Common decision reasons and warnings

Reason Meaning
strong_fba_gap Buy Box is currently not FBA, Amazon is not the Buy Box seller, no FBA offers were detected, and the total offer count is within a reasonable range. This can indicate a potential FBA entry opportunity.
possible_fba_gap Buy Box is currently not FBA and FBA competition appears low. Manual review required.
fba_competition_present Buy Box is not FBA, but multiple FBA offers already exist. Entry may be harder.
fbm_buybox The Buy Box is currently FBM, but the signal is not clean enough to mark the product as a strong FBA gap. Manual review required.
competitive_fba_market The listing already has FBA competition. The product may still be profitable, but Buy Box entry may be harder.
fbm_only_single_seller_risk Only one seller is detected and the Buy Box is FBM. This can indicate brand control, exclusivity, gating or listing risk.
amazon_buybox_review Amazon Retail appears to hold the Buy Box. Manual review required.
amazon_only_offer Amazon Retail appears to be the only detected seller. This is treated as a hard rejection signal.
missing_fba_offer_count Catalogr could not reliably determine the number of FBA offers. This does not mean there are zero FBA sellers.
profit_too_low Estimated profit is below the minimum threshold.
roi_too_low Estimated ROI is below the minimum threshold.
manual_review_required The product passed minimum filters but does not have a clean enough signal profile to be marked as keep.
